Our first date was June 6th, 2008.....we met at a restaurant in Southington called Anthony Jacks. As we followed the hostess to our seats, a HORRIBLE tragedy occured. Sporting super cute high heels (typical Erin fashion) turned out to be not so smart when walking across a freshly polished wooden floor. Erin slipped, but fortunately caught herself from crashing by grabbing a nearby table (almost ripping out the tablecloth from underneath two people dining)! Being the nice person Lance was, he of course pretended not to notice. However, soon it became to funny to overlook and was a great icebreaker. We sat at the table for almost three hours until the restaurant closed, well after we had finished eating. We realized we had a lot in common and decided to go dancing. Shortly we were spending a lot of time together and loving each other's company. About a year and a half later, February 4th, 2010 Lance proposed. We plan to get married in the summer of 2011, three years from when we met. We are so excited and hope to see everyone at the wedding!!!!!

We are having a 6:30 PM outdoor ceremony on June 4th, 2011 at the Grassy Hill Lodge in Derby, CT. The address is 77 Sodom Lane, Derby, CT 06418.

Our reception will be on site and will directly follow the ceremony running from 7 PM - midnight. There will be a cocktail hour while photos are being taken. A champagne toast will start the evening off, to be followed with potatoe & cheese perogies, salad and a choice of four entrees. Save room for dessert! Enjoy the open bar all night long while the DJ plays our favorite tunes. Come prepared to dance the evening away!

Closest airports to our ceremony/reception site include LaGuardia in NY and Bradley International in CT. We have reserved a block of rooms at the Homewood Suites Hilton in Stratford, CT. Additional information including a group code and specifics on the accomodations will be included with your "Save the Date" magnets. The hotel is located 10 minutes from the lodge. We are hoping to have a nice warm summer day for an outdoor ceremony, but if weather does not permit, we will move inside the lodge.
